Optical Illusions

Optical illusions are caused when the brain assumes it is seeing something that it is not. It makes this assumption because the brain seldom sees everything it looks at. Rather, it sees the main parts of an object, then creates its own reality based on past experiences. Usually, it gets things right. But optical illusions are designed to trick the brain into seeing something that isn't there, or that is even impossible.
